Dr. David R. Campbell

Leading the talented team of surgeons and spine care professionals at David Campbell MDPA Spine Center is Dr. David R. Campbell, head orthopedic physician and spine surgeon, who has performed over 5,000 successful spine surgeries.

Dr. Campbell specializes in minimally invasive cervical, thoracic and lumbar decompression and fusion procedures, contributing immeasurably to his patients’ restoration and wellbeing.

Dr. Campbell and his nurse practitioner diagnose and treat virtually all spine conditions and diseases, including:

• Cervical and lumbar degenerative disc disease and herniations

Dr. Campbell is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Board of Spine Surgery and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. His professional affiliations include the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, American College of Spinal Surgery and many others.

He lectures nationally and has authored numerous publications, articles and abstracts on spine surgery and spine surgery issues.

Additionally, Dr. Campbell has served as a consultant to the US Department of Justice, the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General for spine surgery and expert medical advisor to Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration Division of Worker’s Compensation. He served three years as Jupiter Medical Center’s director of Spine surgery and has staff privileges at the following Palm Beach County hospitals:

Dr. Campbell is licensed to practice in Florida, North Carolina, Montana and California.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Campbell has been consistently recognized for his achievements, innovations and commitment to the highest standards of medical proficiency and ethics.

He is also committed to community service by volunteering his expertise and time to local school athletic teams as team physician.

Honorably discharged with the rank of Major from the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps, where he practiced as a spine surgery specialist. Dr. Campbell is also dedicated to treating and caring for America’s veterans who suffer from spinal conditions and diseases in his role as a former attending physician and surgeon under the direction of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Campbell was a principal of Atlas Spine, formed in 2001 to develop spinal implant and instrument systems that combine simplicity with high-performance to enhance patient outcomes.
